Porpác
Porpác is a municipality in the small area Sarvar, located in Vas county in western Hungary. The population is about 160, area 6.19 km ².
Location
The place is located in the Gyöngyös level between cities Szombathely and Sarvar. Nearby are the communities Bögöt and Csénye. Through the town of Bach Rátka flows.
History
Porpác was first mentioned in a document from 1321. The first Roman Catholic church in the village was built in 1698, but later destroyed. The present church Mária Szeplőtelen Szíve was built in 1904.
Infrastructure
There is a kindergarten, a school, a mobile library and a cultural center on site. The community is served by the station, which is located 3 kilometers from the place where the railroad tracks Székesfehérvár, Szombathely and Hegyeshalom - Szombathely.
