The airport of Port Elizabeth, Port Elizabeth English International Airport (IATA Code Zip Code, ICAO code FAPE ) is a South African Regional Airport, which is operated by the State Airports Company South Africa Limited ( ACSA ).

The airport opened in 1950 and was formerly HF Verwoerd Airport. It was modernized in 2004 and expanded to handle up to 2 million passengers a year can. Since Port Elizabeth ( still) does not own customs clearance, international passengers in Johannesburg or Cape Town will have to change. In addition, there is sport and business operations here.
