Poustka (Cheb District)

Poustka ( German Oed ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located eight kilometers north-west of the center of Cheb and belongs to Okres Cheb.

Geography

Poustka located in Eger Basin on a hill between the valleys of the streams and creek Stodolsky Slatinný Potok ( Seebach ). Southwest is the castle Seeberg. North leads the state road 64 from Franzensbad over after Hazlov. Southeast is the Hill Chamber Hurka.

Neighboring towns are Zeleny Haj and Mýtinka in the north, and Seníky Antonínova Výšina in the east, Horni Lomany, Dolni Lomany and Franzensbad the southeast, and Krapice Lužná in the south, and Ostroh Drahov the southwest, Táborská in the west and Hazlov in the northwest.

History

The first mention of Seeberg took place in 1275. 1445 was also called the first time the desolate farm in connection with the in the possession of the Lords of Paulsdorf Good Seeberg. In 1712 the city of Eger bought the village of Oed. After the replacement of patrimonial regimes was part of the place from the mid-19th century the judicial district of Eger and the Eger district. Oed was a district of Seeberg and received its independence in 1922.

In the 1970s, the incorporation to Franzensbad was. Since 1 January 1992, Poustka forms a community.

Community structure

The municipality consists of the villages Poustka Ostroh ( Seeberg ) and Poustka ( Oed ), at the same time also form Katastralbezirke. Moreover, Poustka part of the settlement Drahov ( Trogau ).

Attractions

  • Seeberg Castle, built at the end of the 12th century
  • Church of St. Wolfgang in Ostroh; the originally Gothic building from the 15th century was remodeled in the 18th century baroque. She was the grave place of the owner of the castle Seeberg in the 16th and 17th centuries.
