Přemysl Hajný

Přemysl Hainy ( born December 18, 1925 in Prague, Czechoslovakia; † 24 October 1993) was a Czech ice hockey player and coach.

Career

Přemysl Hainy began his career as a hockey player with SK Viktoria Maly Břevnov, for which he was active from 1940 to 1943. He then spent three years at Slavia Prague before it from 1946 to 1948 for the LTC Prague from the first league, the highest Czechoslovak league, ran aground. With the LTC he won the national championship in 1947 and 1948. From 1948 to 1950, he ran for and won ATK Prague with the team in the 1949/50 season also the championship. Due to an allegedly planned escape from Czechoslovakia, he received a one year sentence. After serving this, he played in the season 1951/52, for BANIK SONP Kladno from the 1st league. From 1952 to 1956 he stood for Tatra Smíchov on the ice before he also played four years for his former club in Kladno. Most recently, he competed in the 1961/62 season for the TJ Ruzyň.

As a coach Hainy initially worked for CSA Ruzyně 1962-1965. He then spent three seasons at Genève -Servette HC from Switzerland, before he was in charge from 1969 to 1972 CKD Sparta Prague. In the 1973/74 season he was head coach at Veronika Den Haag in the Dutch Eredivisie. Most recently, he was from 1975 to 1978 for HDD Olimpija Ljubljana behind the gang.

Internationally

For Czechoslovakia Hainy participated in the Olympic Winter Games in 1948 in St. Moritz, and the World Championship in 1949 in part. At the Winter Games in 1948 he won the silver at the World Cup 1949, the gold medal with his team. In both tournaments, Czechoslovakia was as the best European team also European champion. In 27 international matches, he scored seven goals.
