Pribilof Island shrew

The Pribilof Rotzahnspitzmaus ( Sorex pribilofensis or S. hydrodromus ) is a species of the genus Rotzahnspitzmäuse. It belongs as well as the St. Lawrence Rotzahnspitzmaus to the endemic species of this genus; their presence is according to current knowledge on the island of St. Paul, one of the Pribilof Islands in the Bering Sea, is limited. Because of their northern habitat is one of the few insectivores, which belong to the fauna of the Arctic.
