Primož Peterka

Primoz Peterka (born 28 February 1979 in Ljubljana, Yugoslavia ) is a former Slovenian ski jumper. He is married and has three children.

Career

Primoz Peterka won the 2002 bronze with the team at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2005 in Oberstdorf bronze with the team on the normal hill at the Olympic Winter Games. Overall, he won 15 World Cup events. In the 1996/97 season he won the overall World Cup and Four Hills Tournament in the 1997/98 season he was able to defend the World Cup. In the following years he was able to achieve only sporadically good results at World Cups. However, he denied until March 2011 World Cup competition. At the beginning of the season 2008/ 09 he had again a rising curve shape and often came in the top 30 In the Slovenian Championship 2009 in Kranj he won the team competition with Robert Kranjec, Peter Prevc and Jaka Oblak the gold medal. In the individual competition, he was twelfth at the end. In March 2011, he declared at the edge of the competitions in Slovenia Planica his retirement from competitive sport.

A little later he was assistant coach of the Slovenian jumpers.
