Prince William Frederick, Duke of Gloucester and Edinburgh

Prince William Frederick, Duke of Gloucester and Edinburgh ( born January 15, 1776 in Rome, † November 30, 1834 in Bagshot Park, Surrey ) was a member of the British royal family.

Life

Friedrich Wilhelm was the son of William Henry, Duke of Gloucester and Edinburgh, and his wife Maria Walpole. With his father's death on 25 August 1805 he inherited the title Duke of Gloucester and Edinburgh and Earl of Connaught.

Since July 22, 1816, he was with his cousin Princess Maria, the fourth eldest daughter of King George III. married. The marriage remained childless.
