Province of León

The Province of León ( leonesisch: Llion ) is a province in northwestern Spain. It has 489 752 inhabitants (2013 ) and belongs to the Autonomous Region of Castile -Leon. Capital and largest city is Leon, the second largest city is Ponferrada.

In the north of the province bordering Asturias and Cantabria, on the west by the region of Galicia, in the south of Zamora and Valladolid, and on the east by Palencia.
