Province of Prato

The Prato ( Italien. Provincia di Prato) province is a province of Tuscany. Capital is Prato. It has 248 292 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in seven communities in an area of 365 km ².

The province, which was spun off in 1992 from the Province of Florence, bordered to the north by Emilia -Romagna ( Bologna), in the east and south with the province of Florence and to the west by the province of Pistoia.
