The municipality of Prüm is an administrative unit in the form of a local authority in the district of Prüm, in Rhineland -Palatinate. The municipality includes the town of Prüm and 43 independent local churches, the council is based in the eponymous town of Prüm, a branch of the administration is located in the municipality Bleialf. With an area of 465 km ² it is the largest municipality in the Rhineland- Palatinate. To the west it borders with the Kingdom of Belgium and the north by the state of North Rhine -Westphalia.
