PSA Airlines

PSA Airlines is an American regional airline based in Vandalia. It is a subsidiary of U.S. Airways and flies for this under the brand U.S. Airways Express. Your home base is Dayton International Airport with other crew bases in Knoxville, Charlotte and Green.

History

PSA Airlines was founded in 1979 by Vee Neal Frey as Vee Neal Airlines, based in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. The line started operations on May 1, 1980, a Cessna 402 between Latrobe and Pittsburgh.

In December 1983, the Company Jetstream International Airlines was short JLA, renamed after a short time before two Handley Page Jetstream were eingeflottet. 1984 moved the company from Latrobe to Erie.

On September 26, 1985 Jetstream International Airlines merged with Piedmont Airlines, she was fully taken over on 1 August 1986 and its subsidiary. Following the acquisition of Piedmont Airlines by the former USAir - today's U.S. Airways - in November 1987 flew JLA as Allengheny Commuter ( Allengheny was the former name of USAir ) from the hub of the USAir in Philadelphia. On July 1, 1988 JLA was fully taken over by USAir and flew since then under the colors of USAir Express, and later today on U.S. Airways Express.

On November 1, 1995 JLA was renamed from U.S. Airways PSA Airlines to protect their trademark rights for the former Pacific Southwest Airlines. Pacific Southwest had a major airline on the west coast of the U.S. before the takeover by USAir.

Destinations

PSA Airlines operates for U.S. Airways under the brand U.S. Airways Express regional and commuter flights from their hubs to numerous larger and especially smaller airports in the United States by. In addition to this task PSA Airlines operates in the eastern U.S., some ground stations on their own.
