Datuk Punch Gunalan Panchacharan ( born April 2, 1944August 15, 2012 in Sepang, Petaling Jaya ) was a badminton player from Malaysia.

Career

Punch Gunalan was an outspoken doubles specialist, but was a strong track record in singles. He won, among others, at the Dutch Open, the German Open, the Asian Games, the Asian Championship, the Belgian International, the Denmark Open and the Canadian Open. He was also a coach for the team from Malaysia. After his playing career, he began an official career and became world as BWF Vice President of one of the most powerful men in badminton.
