Qiblih

The Qiblih (Arabic قبلة, DMG Qiblih, Qibla ') is the default direction of prayer for Baha'is in the compulsory and the prayer for the dead, which faces the Shrine of Bahá'u'lláh in Acre, Israel. The Bab described the Qiblih as " the, will reveal the God," a messianic figure of Babism. Baha'u'llah, who claimed to be the prophesied by the Bab, in certain Kitab -i -Aqdas his own final resting place for the Qiblah. Abdu'l Baha, son of Baha'u'llah, designated the Shrine of Bahá'u'lláh as the shining place where the " radiant Revelator " rests.

Bahai but do not worship the shrine of Baha'u'llah, but pray in the direction of Baha'u'llah's resting place. They look to the sky direction in which the shrine is located. In other prayers, the observance of this commandment is not required.

Has its origins in Qiblih their Muslim counterpart, the Qibla, which is prescribed by Mohammed in the Koran for the five daily Muslim prayers duty, in which the Muslims pray towards Mecca.
