Queen Elizabeth Land

The Queen Elizabeth Country is an area in Antarctica, part of the British Antarctic Territory. The area was named in December 2012 after Queen Elizabeth II, on the occasion of her 60th Jubilee. It covers approximately 437,000 km ², slightly less than one-third of the territory.

Northwest extends the Filchner - Ronne Ice Shelf, Coats Land, the north-east, east Dronning Maud Land. In the west, the boundary is the line from Rutford - ice stream east of the Constellation Inlet to the South Pole.
