Radawie

Wheel (Polish Radawie ) is a town in Upper Silesia. Wheel located in the municipality Zembowitz ( Zębowice ) in Oleski powiat ( district of Rosenberg OS) in the Polish Opole Voivodeship.

Geography

Wheel is located six kilometers northwest of the municipality seat Zembowitz, 14 kilometers southwest of the county town of Olesno (Rosenberg OS) and 28 kilometers northeast of the Opole voivodship.

Neighboring towns of wheel are in the north Radawka, in the southeast Nowa Wies ( Neudorf- Pruskau ), in the south Lenke ( Łąka ) and in the southwest Koschütz ( Kosice ).

History

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 186 voters voted to remain in Germany and 170 for Poland. Wheel remained with the German Reich. 1933 lived 1,251 residents in the town. 1939, the place had 1,284 inhabitants. By 1945, the place was in the district of Rosenberg OS.

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and renamed Radawie and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950, the city came to Opole Voivodeship. In 1999 the place to powiat Oleski. On 23 October 2007, the German wheel was in the community Zembowitz, plays, introduced as a second official language. On 19 November 2008, the City also received the official German place names wheel.
