Radenac

Radenac ( Breton: Radeneg ) is a commune with 1001 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Morbihan in the Brittany region. It belongs to the Local Government Association, Pontivy Communauté.

Geography

Radenac located in the north of the department of Morbihan and belongs to the Pays de Pontivy.

Neighboring municipalities are Pleugriffet in the northeast, Lantillac in the east, in the southeast Buléon, Saint- Allouestre in the south, the west and Moréac Réguiny in the northwest.

The place is a bit out of lines for inter-regional traffic. The major routes through the community are the D764 from Pontivy to Josselin de Rohan and the D11 to Saint -Jean- Brévelay. The next major road connection is the N24, which runs for several kilometers south of the community.

The most important waters are several streams as Kerropert, Ville and Bonvallon. Along these waterways is partially on the municipal boundary.

Demographics

History

The municipality belongs to the historic region of Brittany Bro - Gwened (French Vannetais ) and within this region to region Bro Baod (French Pays de Baud) and shares his story. From 1801 until its dissolution on 10 September 1926, she was part of the arrondissement Ploërmel. From 1793 until its dissolution in 1801 belonged to the canton Pleugriffet Réguiny.
