Radio Rwanda

Radio Rwanda is the state radio station in Rwanda and one of the most important media of the country.

Its programs are produced in four languages: French, English and the Bantu languages ​​Kinyarwanda and Swahili. The management of the station is the state-owned Press Office Office Rwandais d'Information ( ORINFOR ).

In addition to Radio Rwanda, there are in the East African country several private stations such as Radio 10, Flash FM, Contact FM, Radio City and Radio IZUBA, to the religious broadcaster Radio Maria. The counterpart to Radio Rwanda on television is the state broadcaster Television Rwandaise ( TVR ).

Radio Rwanda had called for the government during the genocide in Rwanda in 1994 for violence against the Tutsi and thus played a major role in the genocide.
