Rangamati Hill District
Rangamati ( Bengali: রাঙ্গামাটি জেলা, Rāṅgāmāṭi Jela ) is a district in Bangladesh. It lies within the southeastern administrative unit of the Chittagong Division. Capital is the city of Rangamati.
The 6116.13 km ² large administrative district is bordered to the north by the Indian state of Tripura, on the east by the Indian state of Mizoram and the Chin province of eastern neighboring country Myanmar. In the south, Rangamati borders the district of Bandarban and on the east by the districts Khagrachhari and Chittagong.
The district is part of the mountainous region of Chittagong Hill Tracts. In this district is the largest reservoir of Bangladesh, the Karnaphulistausee.
