Rank insignia of the Iranian military

This article highlights the ranks of the armed forces of Iran. The armed forces consist of the regular army of the Islamic Republic of Iran (Persian نیروهای مسلح جمهوری اسلامی ایران ); short Artesh (Persian ارتش, DMG Artesh, Army ') called with its four branches of the armed forces, Army, Navy, Air Force and Air Defence as well as the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (Persian ارتش جمهوری اسلامی ایران, DMG Sepah Pasdaran Enghaleb Islam -e, Army the Islamic Revolutionary Guard ') or also called Pasdaran.

Air defense

2008, the air defense of the air force was spun. The commander of these weapons is a major general. Current leader of this strike force is the career officer, Major General Farzad Esmaili (Persian سرتیپ فرزاد اسماعیلی; born January 15, 1972).
