Raperswilen
Raperswilen is a municipality in the district of Kreuzlingen in the canton of Thurgau in Switzerland.
Geography
Raperswilen is located on the lake ridge near the submarine. On the political community next to the village Raperswilen includes the hamlet of mountain of rubbish, Fischbach, Buren and Helsighausen.
Raperswilen has an area of 7.67 km ². Of which 5.18 km ², or 67.5 % is used for agriculture, another 2.1 km ² or 27.4 % is covered by forest. The remaining 5.1% are overbuilt.
History
The first mention of Raperswilen dates from the year 1213 as Ratbrechtswilare.
Education
The village belongs to the elementary school community Wigoltingen. In the village itself there is a primary school which is attended by students from the municipality and the Wigoltinger hamlet Illhart. Raperswiler children attended a few years ago to kindergarten in Illhart, now it is in the school house in Sonterswil, which also belongs to the elementary school community. The high school is located in Wigoltingen. In addition, there is further educational opportunities in Frauenfeld, Weinfelden, Kreuzlingen, etc.
