Raphaël Jacquelin

Raphaël Jacquelin ( born May 8, 1974 in Lyon ) is a French professional golfer on the European Tour.

Career

As a child he wanted to be a footballer, then he tried to tennis. Both have been prevented by a knee injury, so he started playing golf at age 14.

After winning the French Amateur Championship in 1995 Jacquelin was in the same year of professional golfers and launched from 1996 on the Challenge Tour. In the season of 1997 he occupied there rating in fourth place and qualified for the European Tour, which he joined in 1998. In 2005 - in his 238 -shows on the tour - managed Jacquelin 's first victory at the Open de Madrid, and at the end of the season he reached 20th place his best ranking on the European Tour Order of Merit.

He represented France once a Dunhill Cup and seven times in the World Cup, and was three times recording in continental European team for the Seve Trophy.

Jacquelin is married to his wife Fanny since 2004, has two children and resides in Coppet in Switzerland.
