Centre Iceland ( Iceland Raratoka Māori ) is a 86 acre island on the western end of the Foveauxstraße off the southern coast of the South Island of New Zealand. It is located 25 km north of the northernmost point of the island of Iceland Stewart, Black Rock Point, and 15 km south-west of the region located in the Southland town of Riverton.

The island is surrounded by several reefs, the most important of which are the Escape Reefs 5km east of the island and Hapuka skirt, 2 km to the southwest.

The name of the Māori for the island is an analogy to the South Pacific island of Rarotonga and is the form of the dialects of the Māori of the South Island for the same word "in the south " or " south wind ".

Centre Iceland is used because of its remote location country as a nature reserve by the Department of Conservation, 2006, after the extermination of rats endangered birds auswilderte here. On the uninhabited island are the Lighthouse Centre Iceland Lighthouse and an airplane landing strip.
