Rašín

Rašín ( German Raschin ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is situated 18 kilometers northwest of the center of Hradec Králové and belongs to Okres Jičín.

Geography

Rašín is located on the right side of the Bystřice in the North Bohemian plateau. South of the village rises the brook Rašínský creek. In the north- east, the railway line between Hradec Králové and Jičín passes, at the in Jeřice is the next train stop.

Neighboring towns are Jeřice in the north, Třebovětice in the east, Dolni Černůtky and Horni Černůtky the southeast, Dub in the south, and Klenice Cenov the southwest, Milovice u Hořic and Ostrov in the west and Třebnouševes in the northwest.

History

Rašín was first documented in 1143. The town was the seat of the gender of Raschin of giant castle.

After the abolition of patrimonial Rašín formed in 1850 a municipality in the district of Hradec Králové. While the German war Rašín was in 1866 on the edge of the battlefield of the Battle of Hradec Kralove. As of 1900, the village belonged to the district of Nová Paka, came in the 1930s to Okres Hořice and 1961 Okres Jičín. Rašín was incorporated into Třebnouševes on 1 January 1975. Since 24 November 1990, the municipality Rašín there again.
