Rastislav Pavlikovský

Rastislav Pavlikovský ( born March 2, 1977 in Dubnica nad Váhom, Czechoslovakia) is a Slovak ice hockey player who is since December 2011 AIK in the Swedish Elitserien under contract.

Career

Pavlikovský comes from the offspring of HC Dukla Trenčín, for whom he made ​​his debut in the season 1993/94 in the Slovak Extraliga. He remained true to his home club until 1997 and changed during the 1997/98 season in the American minor leagues. There he went for various teams in the International Hockey League and American Hockey League on the ice. During the NHL Entry Draft 1998 Pavlikovský was drafted by the Ottawa Senators in the ninth round in a total of 246 point, but came only when the Senators farm team, the Grand Rapids Griffins, are used. In 2000 he returned to Europe and joined the Elitserien Club HV 71 Jönköping. Other stations in the top division in Sweden were the Leksand IF, Mora IK and MODO Hockey Örnsköldsvik.

For the season 2002 /03 he moved again to North America and signed a contract with the Houston Aeros of the AHL, with whom he reached the AHL championship at season's end. He then returned to Sweden. Among the ZSC Lions of the Slovak came before the season 2006/ 07 and completed in two seasons 73 NLA games in which he scored a total 53 points scorer.

For the 2008/ 09 season, signed him the management of the HK Sibir Novosibirsk of the Kontinental Hockey League. After the season, he was first out of contract before it was in November 2009 committed by the HC Litvinov BENZINA as a practice player. After two games for the club he left this again. In December of the same year he was commissioned by the Swedish second division side Örebro HK under contract. The 2010/11 season he spent in the Elitserien with AIK Solna. For the following season the Slovak signed at the Swedish second division Mora IK, before he returned in December 2011 to AIK Solna.

Internationally

Pavlikovský began early in his career to represent his country in international tournaments. First, he played for the U18 and U20 Juniors Slovakia, before he was appointed to the squad for the Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City in 2002. In the same year he took part in the World Championships, where he won the gold medal with the Slovak national team. Other Appearances followed in 2004 and 2006, as well as a participation in the World Cup of Hockey 2004.
