Ratanakiri Province

Ratanakiri is a province of Cambodia. The provincial capital is called Banlung.

The province is divided into nine districts:

Attractions

Ratanakiri is inhabited by 21 to 80% minority with a different language and culture as the south to the province Modulkiri. The best known are the Charai, Kaco, Tampuan, Kreung and brewing. There are also many Laotians, Vietnamese and Chinese. The province is attractive for tourists. A few kilometers outside the provincial capital Banlung you meet already dense forests. Here also rubber plantations are cultivated, planted by the French in the 1960s.

  • Yaklaom is a legendary lake of volcanic origin about three kilometers northeast of the city, directions toward Vietnam.
  • Waterfalls: You are one of the main attractions of the province. Cha Ong is a 18 meter high waterfall in the jungle, as well as the 10 meter high Ka Tieng. Kan Chang is also a popular waterfall.
