Raúl Díaz Arce

Raúl Díaz Arce ( born February 1, 1970 in San Miguel) is a former football player from El Salvador. For years he was the top scorer of the national team of his native country.

Clubs

Diaz Arce played for CD Dragon, in the second division of El Salvador from 1988 to 1991. Then he joined a league to CD Luis Angel Firpo and played there from 1991 to 1996. Overall, he scored 150 goals in the period, including 25 in the season 1995 /96 apply.

In 1996 he moved to the USA in the Major League Soccer then newly founded. There he played for DC United, New England Revolution, San Jose Clash, Tampa Bay Mutiny and Colorado Rapids. Most of the time he played for DC United.

In 2002, he joined Charleston Battery, playing in the second highest league. His career ended in 2004 with the also playing in the second division Puerto Rico Islanders FC.

At end of his career he was one of the top scorers in Major League Soccer. Overall, he scored 82 goals during his time in the league.

Trainerkarierre

After the end of his active career was Raúl Arce assistant coach of the U.S. U-17 national team, he oversaw the next five years.
