Refrontolo

Refrontolo is a Northeast Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1797 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Treviso in Veneto. The community is located approximately 28.5 kilometers north-northwest of Treviso.

History

Presumably there is a Lombard founded in the 10th century. 1075 the village was first mentioned in a document.

Economy

The Colli di Conegliano Refrontolo passito is a wine of exceptional quality which is grown here.

Attractions

Molinetto della Croda: The historic mill dates from the 17th century and until 1953 was in operation. After years in which it was neglected and uninhabited, they began to restore it to its original charm rebuild. In 1991, the old mill became the property of the municipality Refrontolo and is now a popular destination for school groups and tourists.
