Regain Records

Regain Records is a record label based in Sweden, mainly metal and hard rock bands under contract. It was founded by Per Gyllenbäck after the dissolution of Wrong Again Records. His seat has the label in Malmö.

History

Regain Records was formed in 1997 from the remnants of label Wrong Again Records, which stopped the releases of albums at the beginning of the year. Wrong Again Records had bands like In Flames, Arch Enemy Cryptopsy or under contract.

The first publications appeared in late 1997, the plates High in Blood by Deranged and Amorous Anathema of Embraced. The first two years were, however, due to poor distribution channels not easy for the label. Only the re-release of the first two In Flames albums Lunar Strain and Subterranean, and the 1999 collaboration with the Black Metal band Marduk brought success.

Today Regain Records is one of the leading record companies for the extreme metal genre and, with Grave and Dismember Death Metal from the area or Gorgoroth and Dark Funeral from the Black Metal genre some of the most important bands of the respective genres under contract.

In Germany the publications of the labels are put on the market for the distribution of Sony Music and Soul Food.

2011 Regain Records announced after the completion of Gorgoroths Under the Sign of Hell 2011 bankruptcy.
