Reifling is a municipality with 388 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district of Mur Valley in Styria. The municipality is located in the judicial district Jews castle. From 1 January 2015 it has joined forces framework of the Styrian municipality structural reform with the communities Oberweg and the city of Jews Castle, the new community will be called "Jewish fortress ".

Geography
Geographical Location
The community Reifling closes south to the city of Jews castle and largely comprises hill country. The highest point is the Reifling mountain ( 1,474 m). The area is drained by Reifling, Auerling and Feebergbach.
In geology, the Reifling formation is named from the Ladinian ( Triassic) after the eponymous mountain.
The neighboring municipalities are, from the north clockwise beginning: Jews Castle, Maria Buch - Feistritz, Eppenstein, Sankt Wolfgang - Kienberg and Oberweg.
Community structure
The municipality consists of a single cadastral Reifling with the villages Auerling (121 inhabitants), Feeberg (195 Ew. ) And Reifling (66 Ew. ).
History
The municipality Reifling was built in 1849 /50.
Population
The municipality had 2001 401 inhabitants according to the census. 99.8 % of the population possess Austrian citizenship. For the Roman Catholic Church to 81.5 % of the population, 5.2% Protestant Church confess, 12.7 % have no religious confession.

Economy and infrastructure
According to Census of 2001, there are 5 workplaces with 11 employees in the community as well as 148 commuters and commuters 1. There are 36 agricultural and forestry holdings ( including 16 in the main acquisition ), which together manage 1,091 ha ( 1999).

The council consists of nine members and is since the municipal elections 2010 mandatary of the following parties together:

The SPO provides the mayor with Karl Feiel. He's since January 8, 2009 in office.
