Reinhold Kauder

Reinhold Kauder ( born January 30, 1950 in Biickeburg ) is a former German canoeist, who took the canoe slalom for the Federal Republic of Germany.

Kauder started for the KC Grevenbroich. At the World Cup 1969 in Bourg St. -Maurice, he finished the one-man canoes in the individual ranking second behind Wolfgang Peters; in the team competition won the two together with Harald Cuypers the world title. Two years later in Merano Kauder won in the individual standings in the team competition won the team from the GDR before Cuyper, Kauder and Peters.

At the 1972 Olympic Games Olympic competitions were held in the canoe slalom for the first time. On the Augsburg Eiskanal Reinhard yew won from the GDR who had not yet heard in the previous year to the GDR team, before Kauder and James McEwen from the United States. 1973 Kauder won his second national title after 1972, during the World Cup he no longer belonged to the German squad.
