Geography

The place is in Vilstal about 13 kilometers southeast of the county town of Dingolfing.

Districts

Rice creek divided community officially in eight districts. These correspond to the former municipalities and the districts today. The former municipalities Niedernhausen and Reith was divided and belongs only partially to the church today rice Bach ( subdistrict parts):

1) district Part 0 ( Part 1 district is one of Simbach near Landau ) 2) Part 1 district ( subdistrict Part 0 belongs to Marklkofen )

The eight official community districts are subdivided further into the actual districts such as villages, hamlets and wastes that are officially designated community parts mostly, 120 in number. These include Bachham and Failnbach partner churches in the district, and upper Hötzendorf Münchsdorf in the district of Oberhausen and Thannenmais in the district of Lower rice creek.

Niederschlag Hausen

The colonization of the area around Niedernhausen already took place in the Stone Age of the Isar Valley ago. First records of the town in the year 731 was since 1257 the parish and the parish church of St. Stephen, the the oldest building of the town is thus detected.

Upper Münchsdorf is colloquially called Minadorf. The village has about 150 inhabitants. Minadorf separates the two villages of Upper and Lower Hausen.

District Thannenmais

The colonization of Thannenmais was already at the time of the Thirty Years' War from Vilstal held forth.

Even the name suggests ( corn = deforested forest area) that it was a question of a dense forest area. As can be learned from traditions, the entire area was densely forested of the rice Bacher heights from the south. It was all in the possession of the Counts of Aham.

In the Thirty Years' War from 1618 to 1648 the Vilstaler fled with belongings after Thannenmais in the wood country, where they were safe in the impenetrable thick groves before the Swedish warriors.

The place Thannenmais belonged until 1971 to the municipality of low rice creek. On April 1, 1971, the municipality of low rice Bach was incorporated with Thannenmais in the course of municipal reform in the community rice creek.

On the outskirts of town Fellbach is the amusement park Bayern Park.

History

The market rice Bach belonged to Rentamt Landshut of the Electorate of Bavaria. Rice Bach had a market court magistrate own rights. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was born with the congregation of 1818 the market. This was the smallest area municipality of the former district office Dingolfing. In 1978, the market has expanded considerably in the course of municipal reform in Bavaria.

Narrated but are also market two fires in 1659 and 1835, which caused serious damage. Until June 30, 1972 Rice Bach was a municipality in the district of Dingolfing. In the district there was the Griesbach Griesbach b station. Dingolfing on the railway line Mühldorf - Pilsting. The track is closed in this section.
