The Renault Nissan Automotive India Pvt. Ltd.. is, since February of 2010, existing automobile manufacturers and automotive dealers with corporate headquarters in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The company was created in the consolidation of Indian trade networks of the brands Nissan and Renault. Every year up to 400,000 vehicles can be produced for the international market here. Production at the new plant is expected to begin in June 2011.

The first developed in India model represents the micro-car Bajaj ULC, which should also be available in the European Renault dealers with a price of just € 5,000 from the 2012 model year with badge engineering. The launch should take place already after announcements in the spring of 2011 but was delayed because of the ongoing construction work. Furthermore, Renault will start here with the production of the Renault Twingo first generation, although the Nissan here would produce the Nissan Micra.
