Res (singer)

Res ( civil Shareese Renée Ballard ) is an American singer and songwriter.

Solo career

Their 2001 release, Res ' debut album "How I Do" on MCA Records. The first single " Golden Boys " and " Ice King " were published. The third single, "They Say Vision", written by Santi White and Martin "Doc" McKinney, finally brought the breakthrough, reaching # 1 on the Billboard Dance Charts.

In 2003, her version of the Jefferson Starship song " Miracles" on the soundtrack of the movie Maid in Manhattan. 2006 saw another song, " To Empower " on the soundtrack of the film drama " Akeelah and the Bee " ( Akeelah and the Bee ).

Published in 2009 Res her second album, " Black.Girls.Rock " on Snocap iTunes and as a limited edition on CD.

In August 2010, she announced her third solo album, "Reset", that is to be re- produced by Martin "Doc" McKinney, the producer of the successful debut album. First, however, appeared in 2013, the EP " Refried Mac " with five covers of Fleetwood Mac songs.

Idle Warship

2009 brief break Res and rapper Talib Kweli the duo Idle Warship. In this formation they went in the same year on a European tour that took them to Germany. 2010 appeared the compilation " Party Robots Mixtape ". The debut album " Habits of the Heart " was released in 2011.
