Rhapsody in August (八月 の 狂詩曲Japanese (ラプソディー) Hachigatsu no Rapusodī ) is a Japanese film from 1991, based on the novel by Kiyoko Murata hub no Kuni. The drama is the penultimate film by director and screenwriter Akira Kurosawa.
Action
The Hibakusha Kane has lost her husband during the atomic bombing of Nagasaki. Many years later you get in the course of a summer visit from their children. You share with her that her brother emigrated to Hawaii is a long time ago dying and a last meeting with your wishes to reconcile. Before Kane can make a decision, he dies.
After her brother's death, his son suddenly appears and is interested in the life of his aunt and the circumstances that led to the death of his uncle. During his visit, the anniversary of the bombing, which he eventually spent in silent tribute with his aunt approaches.
