Richard Park

Richard Park (Korean 박용수, Bak Yong -su, born May 27, 1976 in Seoul, South Korea ) is an American professional ice hockey player. He also holds a South Korean passport. Richard Park is only the second Korean- NHL player after Jim Paek, who was also drafted in 1985 by the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Career

At the age of three years immigrated park with his parents to the United States, ten years later moved the family to Ontario, Canada, where Park, which now had the American citizenship, began playing hockey. At the age of 16 years, 1,80 m tall striker joined the Belleville Bulls of the Canadian Junior Football League OHL, NHL Entry Draft 1994, he was finally selected as the 50th in the second round by the Pittsburgh Penguins ( drafted ).

Internationally
