Richard Sass

Richard Sass (* 1774 in London, † 7 September 1849 in Paris ) was an English landscape painter and drawing master of the royal family.

Richard Sass hardly a family of artists who had originally come from Latvia to England. His younger half- brother Henry Sass was also a painter. Richard Sass studied at the Royal Academy, where he also exhibited from 1791 to 1813. He was destined to be a teacher of drawing for Princess Charlotte. Later he became a landscape painter for the Prince Regent George.
