The Ricoh Coliseum is an entertainment venue and sports arena at Exhibition Place in the Canadian city of Toronto, province of Ontario. The construction was completed in 1921 and opened on 16 December for the audience. History

Initially called the Hall Civic Arena. On April 4, 1922 in front of 11,900 spectators punched Johnny Dundee vs. Jimmy Goodrich in the arena. This was a new record for an indoor sports event in Toronto. This changed as the Maple Leaf Gardens was opened in 1931. During the Second World War from 1942 to 1945 the building was used as a training base of the Canadian Army and was known as Manning Depot. After the war mainly took place in the equestrian competitions of the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, the Canadian National Exhibition and other events at the Coliseum. It has meanwhile served as a horse stable. In the 1960s, the southern facade was renovated and dressed in black and white. In 1997, the National Trade Centre Exhibition Complex built. This construction project also included a new building in the south and southeast of the Coliseum. In addition, the cladding was removed again.

In 2003 the hall was extensively renovated in respect of the American Hockey League team the Toronto Roadrunners. It was, inter alia, for a larger audience capacity increases the roof. The renovation costs totaled $ 38 million C. The Japanese office communications company Ricoh took over the naming rights to the arena. The Roadrunners were a farm team of the Edmonton Oilers.
