Robert Acquafresca

Robert Acquafresca (2011)

Robert Acquafresca ( born September 11, 1987 in Turin) is an Italian football player. He plays the position of striker and is currently at FC Bologna under contract.

Career

Association

Acquafresca, son of an Italian and a Polish woman, began at FC Turin to play soccer. In 2005 he moved to Inter Milan and was awarded from there first at FBC Treviso and then to Cagliari Calcio. In 2009, he was left to Genoa as part of the transfer of business from Diego Milito to Inter Milan. After half a season at Atalanta Bergamo he returned on loan to Cagliari Calcio in the summer of 2010. From July 2011 Acquafresca belonged to the squad of FC Bologna, in early 2013 but was again loaned, this time at Levante UD.

National

From 2004 to 2009 Acquafresca played for the Italian U- national teams (U -17, U -18, U-19, U -20, U -21) and the Italian Olympic team. He belonged to the squad at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, and occurred in all four tournament games used. Since he has both the Italian and the Polish citizenship, he could play for the national team of Poland. Shortly before his 21st birthday, he decided to continue for the Italian federation to play. So far he has not played a senior international for Italy.
