Geography

Geographical location

The city is located mostly in the Messel Hills, a hilly part of the Main level. The height differences are small, ranging from approximately 130 meters above sea level in the Rodau floodplains east of Ober-Roden to around 200 meters above sea level on the Bulau. Rödermark is surrounded by green belts, which are located mainly in the field of Rodau. The Rodau crosses the city from west to east. History

The community Rödermark was on 1 January 1977 in the course of municipal reform in Hesse by law by the merger of the municipalities Ober-Roden and Urberach. Both founding communities belonged to the district Dieburg and came with the founding of the church Rödermark the Offenbach district. Local districts were formed in Rödermark. History of Ober-Roden

City Council

In Rödermark the CDU, the SPD, the FDP, the other list / The Greens Mark Roeder and the Free Voters are represented.

Mark Roeder was characterized over many decades, conservative; the CDU received the most votes in elections in many years. Theater

Museums

The former ice rink Röder Mark was the first ice rink in the Rhine- Main area.
