Rogaland Radio

Rogaland radio (call sign: LGB, earlier LGQ ) is a Norwegian coastal radio station and is operated by telenor. The station transmits from the municipality Sola. Head of the station is Alf Hindal.

Rogaland Radio moved in September 2003 with the rescue of southern Norway together in a new building near the airport Stavanger Lufthavn, Sola, a. In March 2004, Bergen Radio ceased its operation and handed over his service to Rogaland radio.

Technology

Rogaland Radio covers with its FM radio relay service from the Norwegian coast in the south to Lindesnes Lindas at mountains in the north. The 22 stations also cover off-shore platforms and oil and gas fields Valhall, Ekofisk, and Sleipner Draupner -A in the North Sea.

Weather reports sends Rogaland radio every day at 1215 UTC and 2315 UTC in Farsund on channel 291 and on channel 272 in Bergen NAVTEX warning messages the station sends on 518 kHz to 0150, 0550, 0950, 1350, 1750, 2150 UTC. Listening watch and discussions are held by the three SSB stations on a number of FM, border and shortwave frequencies.
