Rohnert Park is a planned city in Sonoma County in the U.S. state of California, United States. It was designed and built based on the plans of Levittown, Pennsylvania. The 40 971 inhabitants (as of 2010) big city is located about 80 km north of San Francisco.
The city is the seat of Sonoma State University, which is part of the California State University system.
Since November 5, 2013 in Rohnert Park is a an Indian tribe belonging casino called " Graton Resort & Casino". There is a large casino with 3000 Slotmaschienen and 144 gaming tables, comparable to the casinos in Las Vegas. The ruling in California gambling prohibition does not apply to Indian tribes, as these are sovereign on their land.

Geology
The " Rogers Creek Fault" is a geological fault which causes earthquakes in the area of Rohnert Park. The San Andreas Fault may have an impact in Rohnert Park.
