Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Turin

The Archdiocese of Turin (Latin: Archidioecesis Taurinensis ) is a located in Italy Archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church.

The diocese was erected in the 4th century and on May 21, 1515 by Pope Leo X to an archdiocese with the seat of a metropolitan. Since 1879 all Turin archbishops were on their appointment Cardinal or were subsequently sprout pad cardinals, so that Turin is considered (up to Davide Riccardi, who died in the College of Cardinals in 1897 shortly before his admission ) than traditionally associated with the cardinal bishopric.
