Roman Catholic Diocese of Cruzeiro do Sul

The Diocese of Cruzeiro do Sul (Latin: Dioecesis Crucis Australis ) is a located in Brazil, Roman Catholic diocese based in Cruzeiro do Sul in the state of Acre.

History

The Diocese of Cruzeiro do Sul was posted on May 22, 1931 by Pope Pius XI. regendi of annexations of the Apostolic Prefecture Tefé built with the Papal Bull Munus as Territorialprälatur Juruá. On 25 June 1987, Territorialprälatur Juruá was elevated by Pope John Paul II to the Pontifical Bull Cum Praelatura to the diocese and renamed Diocese of Cruzeiro do Sul. The Diocese of Cruzeiro do Sul is the Archdiocese of Manaus is a suffragan.
