Roman Catholic Diocese of Daltonganj
The Diocese of Daltonganj (Latin: Dioecesis Daltonganiensis ) is a located in India Roman Catholic diocese based in Daltonganj.
History
Pope Paul VI. founded it with the Apostolic Constitution Supremi Ecclesiae on June 5, 1971, cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Ranchi, where there was also a suffragan.
On April 1, 1995, lost part of its territory to the Diocese of Hazaribag.
Territory
The Diocese of Daltonganj Palamu and Garhwa includes the districts in the state of Jharkhand.
