Roman Catholic Diocese of Digos

The Diocese of Digos (Latin: Dioecesis Digosensis ) is a community on the Philippines island of Mindanao in the south of the Roman Catholic diocese based in Digos City. It includes the Philippine province of Davao del Sur.

History

Pope John Paul II founded it with the Apostolic Constitution Sacer praesul Ecclesiae on 5 November 1979 from cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Davao, where it was assumed as a suffragan.
