Roman Catholic Diocese of Garanhuns

The diocese Garanhuns (Latin: Dioecesis Garanhunensis ) is a location in Brazil the Roman Catholic Diocese based in Garanhuns in the state of Pernambuco.

History

The diocese Garanhuns was on August 2, 1918, Pope Benedict XV. built out of territory of the Archdiocese of Olinda e Recife and this is a suffragan. On January 13, 1962, the diocese Garanhuns were parts of its territory from the foundation of the Diocese of Palmares.
