Roman Catholic Diocese of Lindi

The Diocese of Lindi (Latin: Dioecesis Lindiensis ) is a location in Tanzania Roman Catholic diocese based in Lindi.

History

The Diocese of Lindi was born on August 5, 1963 by Pope Paul VI. built with the Apostolic Constitution Quotiens datur of annexations of the Territorial Abbey Ndanda as Nachingwea diocese and the Archdiocese of Dar es Salaam is a suffragan. On October 17, 1986, the diocese was Nachingwea from parts of its territory to the foundation of the diocese Tunduru Masasi. The diocese Nachingwea was renamed on October 17, 1986 in Diocese of Lindi. On November 18, 1987, there was the Archdiocese of Songea is a suffragan.
