Roman Catholic Diocese of Minna

The Diocese of Minna (Latin: Dioecesis Minnaensis ) is a location in Nigeria Roman Catholic diocese based in Minna.

History

The Diocese of Minna was born on November 9, 1964 by Pope Paul VI. out of territory of the Archdiocese of Kaduna built as Apostolic Prefecture of Minna. The Apostolic Prefecture of Minna was born on September 17, 1973 by Paul VI. raised to the bishopric. On November 6, 1981, the Diocese of Minna were parts of its territory establishing the mission sui juris from Abuja. Another area assignment was made on 15 December 1995 establishing the Apostolic Prefecture Kontagora.

The Diocese of Minna is the Archdiocese of Kaduna is a suffragan.
