Roman Catholic Diocese of Netzahualcóyotl

The diocese Netzahualcóyotl (Latin: Dioecesis Netzahualcoytlensis ) is a location in Mexico Roman Catholic diocese based in Netzahualcóyotl.

It was separated from the Diocese of Texcoco on February 5, 1979, is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Tlalnepantla suffragan.

Counted it in 1980 2,490,000 Catholics ( 99.6 %) in 44 parishes with 72 diocesan priests, 41 religious priests and 30 nuns, it grew to 2002, the largest diocese in the world. This year, it came to no less than 8,891,872 Catholics (88%) in 131 parishes with 192 diocesan priests, 91 religious priests and 167 nuns.
