The Diocese of Orléans (Latin: Dioecesis Aurelianensis ) is a located in France Roman Catholic diocese based in Orléans.

History

The Diocese of Orléans was built in the 3rd century and the Archdiocese of Sens is a suffragan. On 20 October 1622, The Diocese of Orléans was the archbishopric of Paris, is a suffragan. The Diocese of Orléans were annexed in 1801 parts of the territory of the diocese of Blois on 29 November. On October 6, 1822 Diocese of Orléans were parts of its territory from the re-establishment of the diocese of Blois. On October 9, 1966, the diocese of Orléans was the archbishopric of Bourges is a suffragan. The Diocese of Orléans was placed under the Archbishopric of Tours suffragan on 16 December 2002.
